Show a background image on half of a campaign page

The Half Page Background Image extension lets you display a full-height background image on just the left or right half of a campaign page, so you can build a split-panel layout with an image on one side and your form on the other.

How to enable it

1. Go to Account → Extensions and install the Half Page Background Image Left or Right.

2. Publish the extension.

3. Open the campaign you want to update in the Design Editor.

4. Go to the page where you want the split background, such as the main page.

5. Add a background image on that page under Layout → Page Background, and turn on Use Image.

6. Add the half_image metadata key to the same page meta data, and set its value to left or right.

6. Publish the campaign and preview it.

The background image now fills only half of the page you chose.

Important: The background image must be turned on for the page (Page Background → Image set to a valid image, with Use Image on).If it isn't, the extension logs an error notification and leaves the page unchanged.

What it does

The extension checks each page for a half_image metadata key. When it finds one set to the left or right, it resizes that page's existing background image to cover 50% of the page width and 100% of the page height, and positions it on the side you chose. Nothing changes on pages without the key.

Good to know

• Set half_image at the page level, not on an individual element.

• Only left and right are valid values. Any other value is ignored.

• The background image must be configured on the same page as the half_image key.

• This extension is built to work with a background image set through Digioh's native background settings.
