Digioh native’s phone and email validation

This guide explains what Digioh validates out-of-the-box, how errors appear, and where to configure everything in the editor.

What Digioh validates by default

• Email (standard field): Digioh automatically checks for a normal email pattern and blocks submissions that don’t match.

• Phone (standard field): Basic phone checks are enabled by default (US format). You can switch to European formatting, enable a country-code selector (full list or a restricted list), and set separate display vs submit formats.

Phone validation options (built-in)

You can apply these to the Phone field or to a Custom Text Box via Input Options:

• Phone (10 Digits)

• Phone (11 Digits, USA +1)

• Phone (11 Digits, Global)

• Phone (EU)

• Phone (8–15 Digits, International)

Email validation on custom fields

Need an email check on a custom text input instead of the standard Email field? Enable Input Options → Email Syntax on that custom field.

Error messages & where they appear

• Turn Make Field Required on any field to force entry and set a custom error text for invalid/missing values.

• Choose where errors render: Top, Inline, or Top and Inline (Form → Inputs → Error Message Position).

Where to configure (Editor path)

1. Open your box → Form tab.

2. Under Fields, select Email or Phone to adjust validation and formatting (country code, display vs submit).

3. For custom text fields, use Input Options to apply email or phone rules as needed.

Helpful add-ons (optional)

• Catch common email typos (e.g., gmial.com): Install the “Prevent Common Email Typos” extension and enable it on the email field via metadata.

• Improve error bubble readability (wrapping/positioning/height): Install App #62 “Improved Error Bubbles.”

• Real-time email verification (deliverability): Integrate a validator such as BriteVerify, Kickbox, or NeverBounce. (BriteVerify can block submit and show an alert if the check fails.)

• Email: use the standard Email field (native syntax check) or apply Email Syntax to a custom field.

• Phone: pick the right Phone option (US/EU/Global), set country code behavior, and configure display vs submit formats.

• Errors: set Required + custom error text, and choose Top/Inline error placement.
