How to use Digioh quizzes with an SFTP product feed

If your product data lives on an SFTP server, Digioh can pull it directly to power your quiz results and logic, with no public Google Sheet or CSV URL required. You give us secure access to your server, and we handle the rest: reading your file, mapping the columns, and refreshing the data on a schedule. This guide covers exactly what to send us to get set up.

How it works

You drop your product export onto your SFTP server on a regular schedule. Digioh connects to that server, pulls the file shortly after, and maps its columns to your quiz. You don’t need to reformat your file to a specific spec. Just send us a real export and we’ll map the columns for you.

What we’ll need from you

To set up your SFTP feed, send us the following four things.

1. SFTP access

• Host (server address) and port. The port defaults to 22 unless you use a different one.
• An SSH private key in PEM format with no passphrase, or a password.
• Optional: a GPG public key, if your team requires the file to be encrypted.

2. File location

• The directory path where the file lives.
• The filename. This can be a constant name, or a pattern if it changes daily (for example, csv).

3. A sample file

• One real export. Your main (live) file works too. We use it to read the format and map the columns ourselves, so you don’t need to reformat anything.

4. Drop timing

• What time you push the file to the server, and your timezone. We schedule our pull for shortly after, so your quiz always uses your latest product data.

Important: Share your private key or password through a secure channel, not plain email. Ask your Digioh contact for a secure way to send credentials if you’re unsure.
