If you ever need to create an age gate on your site to prevent younger users from being able to gain access, you can easily do that with Digioh!
Pre-Built Themes
Digioh offers a number of pre-built themes for age gate campaigns, you can easily see and create a campaign from them by selecting the Age Gate / Paywall use case in our theme library:
Once you’ve created the campaign from the theme, you can swap in your assets, add conditions, and you should be all set to launch!
Building Your Own
If you’d prefer to build your own Digioh campaign, you’ll want to make sure you follow these steps to implement an age gate:
- Use a Lightbox type Campaign
- Ensure that the Campaign Level close button is disabled:
If you leave the campaign-level close button enabled, users will be able to close the campaign and bypass your age gate. - On the Form on the main page of the campaign, add a custom field with type “Date Picker (dropdown)”
- On your date custom field, enable the Additional Dropdown Options and set a Min Age
- Make sure that any buttons you have on the campaign are set to Submit the form when clicked:
- After Form Submit, you can either show a Thank You page and allow users to close the campaign, or simply have the After Form Submit action on the Main Page close the campaign
